If your current fans are plume or boa fans from Fancy Feather, these are typically the easiest conversions. Because you're already starting with high-quality materials, you can often select a standard conversion package and achieve excellent results. However, if you'd like to add an additional row of feathers, change colors, incorporate different feather types, or make other custom modifications, please purchase this assessment package first.
For fans purchased from any other manufacturer, this assessment package is required before a conversion can be quoted. While I am familiar with most fan styles and construction methods on the market, feather quality, materials, and assembly techniques can vary significantly and are often difficult to evaluate without a physical inspection.
After purchase, you will receive a UPS Ground shipping label with insurance coverage based on the type of fan being shipped:
Plume Fans: $300 insured value
Peacock Fans: $300 insured value
Boa Fans: $900 insured value
Pheasant Fans: $1,000 insured value
Please package your fans carefully to minimize the risk of damage during transit. I recommend securing the staves to the bottom of the box whenever possible, as this helps prevent stress and damage to the tops of the feathers.
Once your fans are received, I will carefully remove and evaluate the feather material, then we'll setup a time to discuss your goals for the project and determine the best conversion or upgrade options. After the scope of work is finalized, you will be sent a custom product to pay for the additional material or service required.
Invoices must be paid within 15 days. If payment is not received within that timeframe, or if you decide not to move forward with the project, all materials will be returned to you via UPS Ground. Returned materials will be insured for $300, regardless of fan type.
On all Stave Kit purchases, a $5 donation is made and on all feather fan purchases, a $10 donation is made to an organization that we’ve identified. We run additional promotions in support of other organizations throughout the year, however you’ll see the request to select your donation preference on each of the product pages. Our annual donations will be added here next year.
